May 10th, 2021.
Good morning Hamden Rovers club members. Last weeks’ meeting notes are as follows:
First I must say Happy Mothers day to all mothers including the mothers who were honored at last Saturday nights event. I must also send a special mother's day greeting to my mother, Myrtle Cameron who celebrated her 94th birthday last month.
So if you weren't able to attend the event, you missed a great celebration. Good food, Reverse Charade games, Bingo games, and just that extra special feeling, sharing love with our second family.
Pictures will be posted on this whatsapp site and also on our Hamden Rovers website.
Our O40 Hamden Rovers soccer team won its second game yesterday against Woodbridge 2 to 0. Gumby scored both goals, but all in all, it was a team effort. Good win team. Go Rover go.
Do remember our 2nd annual Hamden Rovers soccer clinic is scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 19th, 2021. And as mentioned in last weeks text messages, its a great program for our future young soccer stars to participate in.
